Team : Cameron Bedford, Thomas Merriman, Tom Rowson, Connor Wilson, Sebastian Nunns

Callum Vinton, Ryan Mclean, Reynard Caine, Jake Wilby

Norristhorpe were soon into their stride and were dominating in midfield through Rowson & Wilson. The good early start saw Merriman having 2 shots saved and the impressive Rowson also having a shot well saved. Merriman managed to latch onto a long clearance from Bedford to open the scoring with a well taken goal. The Terriers were well on top and had more efforts saved from the impressive Heckmondwike keeper. When Nunns finally shot past the keeper, the post came to Heckmondwike's rescue but it was short lived when Rowson finally grabbed a second for an impressive Norristhorpe. Merriman then wrapped up the honours in the first half after outwitting the keeper and sliding the ball in for the third.

HT 0 - 3

The second half started in the same vain and it didn't take long for Merriman to grab his hattrick with a scrappy goal. Wilson, Nunns & Wilby were getting well forward due to the lack of attacking moves from Heckmondwike and this resulted in a well worked goal for Nunns. Wilson was really pulling the strings in midfield and he set up Rowson for his second of the game. He then sent Merriman through who made the keeper pull of a double save but Wilson had the prescence of mind to follow up the rebound and get a well deserved goal for himself. Caine, Mclean and Caine didn't have a great deal to do in defence but when they were called upon performed their duties well. The final goal may well have been the best of the game as Rowson broke free, he went round a couple of players and let fly from well outside the area and saw the ball rocket into the top corner. This capped a great performance for the Terriers and let them believe what they were actually capable of.
