Great news this week for Under 8 Will Alderton who has been signed for Leeds United Under 9 Academy Team for next season. Will from Huddersfield joined Norristhorpe Juniors as an Under 6 and has been training with Leeds for two years.He is one of 13 boys who has been taken on from hundreds who have been through the development centre, shadow squad and pre academy assessments. He trains twice a week with Leeds and whilst thrilled to bits it will unfortunatly mean Will calling time on his Norristhorpe career as he will only be able to play for Leeds next season, with trips to Newcastle,Man Utd, Liverpool and local rivals Huddersfield all in the Leeds United schedule.

Dad Peter says "we were recommended to Norristhorpe by a well respected football scout who was impressed with the whole set up. Will started with Gail at under 6 level and played up in the under 7s for part of his first season and then has been with Bocca Juniors under the guidance of Chris Kaye and Simon Walker, he has really enjoyed his time with Norristhorpe, there is a great group of children and parents and its great to see two people like Chris and Simon give so much of their time to help develop the boys"

Will still has a few more games and tournaments left for Norristhorpe before he starts pre season training up at Thorp Arch.
