Next year it is hoped that we will have both an under 10 and under 9 side those wishing to play need to provide me with the attached form but leave the part for the age group blank. I also require 2 passport sized photos and if they have not played in the league before a copy of their birth certificate or passport so we have proof of their DOB.
If we do not recruit any more players we will not have enough players for either U9s or U10s I propose that we keep all the girls together and apply to go into the bottom division of the under 10 league. If any of you have any objections to this or any other suggestions please let me know. I am open to any ideas that allows most girls to play football.
The policy of the club is one which is to let as many children whatever their ability play football as much as they want or are able in as safe an environment as possible. I hope that we can achieve this next season.
Summer Tournaments
I have entered the girls in some tournaments this summer these are open to all the girls.
The first is at Mapplewell on Sunday 15th June a 09.30 start at Mapplewell. Meet at Tog 24 at 08.30 am the tournament finishes at lunch time.
I can take 10 players it is 6 a side and I am allowed 4 subs. Please let me know if you are going or not so I know how many people to wait for.
The other is Sunday 22nd June at Batley again in the morning. This is 5 a side I have entered two teams into this so I hope you can all make it. Again please let me know as some of the younger girls are also perhaps going to go.
Meet at Batley Enterprise College at 08.45 (where we played Batley before).
The cost will be £2 for any of the girls playing this is because the club has to pay an entrance fee for these tournaments that ranges from £30-£40 per team.
We will be having a break from training for 3 weeks. The last training will be Thursday 19th June and we will not have the next one until 17th July. We will then continue over the school holidays.

Well done with your performance at the weekend giving us our second victory this season .I have heard that you all played really well and that the football that you played has improved on previous weeks which is all that I can ask for. I am informed Tingley also started strongly but with only six players soon began to tire. Goals came from Chloe Mitchell 4, Georgia Richardson 4, Charlotte Sales 1. Girl of the match voted for by opposition players Charlotte Sales.

Alternatively you can visit the club website at www.norristhorpe -soccer.net. and on here are links to all the teams and contacts. Please could you fill in a players registration form and let me have this back, this ensures that your child is covered by the clubs insurance and that I have your contact details should training be cancelled for any reason.
Subs for those who just attend training are £5 per month payable at the beginning of the month. If you have just started and want to register for the wildcats to play in the league then the cost is £35 payable in December and £30 payable in March.(see me about the paperwork involved)
I am informed that you all played really well against Rothwell and didn't deserve to loose 5-0. Chloe M I am told played really well and had some really good runs with the ball. Charlotte was voted player of the match by the opposition but apparently you all played so well that this was a really difficult decision for them to make.
Wildcats your next game is on Saturday 3rd November 10.10 meet for 10.30 kick off. I am sorry to say that I am working again but will try and get there if I can. A couple of players did mention that I was never there any more, it isn't deliberate and I have tried to swap my shift . However it shows how willing the sections parents are particularly Tony that the game can still go ahead without me. If any of you are willing to fill in some child protection forms and volunteer forms it will greatly help in the future should Tony and myself both be unable to be there.
The following week we are away at Wigton Moor which is on the Harrogate road out of Leeds somewhere I will find out more before then. Then on Saturday 17th November we have the next cup game which is at home to Mapplewell (there is always the shield if we loose.)

There will be no training next week Thursday 4th October.

Idle have withdrawn from league so we are through to the next round of the cup without having to kick a ball. Due to this the weekends game is a friendly away against Tingley this means everyone can play. The game is on Sunday , meet at the TOG 24 car park at 09.10 for a 10.00am kick off. If you are unavailable please let me know.

What a great team effort you all played really well at the weekend.
The defensive bank of Chloe, Amber and Georgia who was then replaced by Olivia left Matilda in goal with nothing to do and she was heard to say at half time that she was bored. Playing in front in midfield Samantha, Charlotte and later Evie and Micha broke up the opposition play well and made some good runs towards the oppositions goal. There were several shots on goal in the first half and the vixens keeper made some excellent saves, fortunately for us Karis caught her unawares and managed to score just before half time.
The second half saw Vixens playing down hill and we were under pressure quite often however Chloe was excellent and prevented much of the forward play and when called on Georgia made some good saves. Charlotte had a few chances along with Karis and Micha to help make the game safe but Vixens defended well and towards the end we were under great pressure and it was a relief to hear the final whistle.
Girl of the Match Chloe Feather
Final Score Wildcats 1 Vixens 0
A huge thank you to the parents too for putting up and taking down the nets, to Kevin for refereeing, Jane doing the raffle and Sam for the half time oranges and Tony for helping with everything. All together another good team effort.
Money raised by the raffle pays the Ref if it is one of our Junior referees and the rest will go towards either the Christmas party or extra equipment/kit for this section.
Next weeks game is Saturday at Crossley Fields School against Mapplewell 10.10 .
The following Saturday we are in a cup game against Idle again at Crossley Fields school 10.10 meet.
There will be no training on Thursday the 4th October

I have been unable to arrange a friendly for the weekend and the league starts the following weekend the 15th/16thSeptember.If your daughter is unable to play at any time due to other commitments please let me know so that I can ensure we have enough players to fulfil our fixtures. The first cup game is on Saturday 30th Sept against Idle Juniors Kick Off 10.30
Most home games will be Saturday with 10.30 Kick off unless I am working then it will be Sunday when I can get a pitch but probably about 1pm.
